Why are magnetic toys so expensive?

All magnetic building blocks products are generally expensive. The cost is high due to all the magnets inside. The more magnets, the more expensive the block will become.

Perhaps it is better to compare various bricks not price-per-block but rather price-per-gram? Weight gives value to a product.

What is the right age for Smartek Toys?

The minimum age for Smartek Toys is 18 months. Toddlers, from the age of 1.5 until 3 years, enjoy playing mainly with the Smartek Toys CUBEs. The Smartek Toys CUBEs connect, align, click and disconnect very easy, with minimum strength needed.

From the age of 3 to 5 years the interest of children grows to more complex blocks. This would be a good age to combine Smartek Toys CUBEs with MEGO A/B blocks together with 3rd party (non-magnetic) building blocks from Biobuddy or LEGO/DUPLO.

Are Smartek Toys safe for Children?

Smartek Toys are safe for children of 18 months / 1.5 years and up. The blocks have been tested by Bureau Veritas under The Toy Safety Directive 2009/48/EC under categories EN71-1, EN71-2 and EN71-3 allowing us to import and carry the CE Mark for the EU and UK.

For the US market all blocks have been certified under ASTM F963-17 and we carry the Children’s Product Certificate (CPC).

The Korean Test Center (KTC) has also independently tested all blocks and certified for the Korean market.
